Electrical Engineer, Ph.D in Engineering Physics

Graduated from The Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MFTI) in 1980 with a specialization in Quantum Electronics and Solid State Devices. In 1988 he obtained a PhD degree from the Institute of Radio-Engineering & Electronics, of the Russian Academy of Science (IRE RAS), in Moscow. From 1980 till 1991 Alex was with the IRE RAS, becoming a Senior Staff Member of the Institute in 1988. From the end of 1991 till 1995 he held Visiting Scientist positions with the Technische Universität Berlin, Institut für Hochfrequenztechnik, Germany, and Cornell University, Ithaca, New York. From 1995 till 1998 Alex held a Research Associate position with the University of Toronto. In 1998 Alex joined JDS Uniphase Inc, where he was a Group Leader in the Strategic Research department. Alex was a Senior Optical System Designer with Ceyba Incorporated from 2000 to 2003. Neil recognized Alex's aptitude for patent matters while collaborating on a patent application for one of Alex's inventions, while working for JDS, and was thrilled when Alex finally accepted his offer to work with Teitelbaum & Bouevitch in September 2003.
